Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She anchors SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She was hired by ESPN in the year of 2016. Her mother is the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since age nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her land her first job as a producer assistant at Univision Miami, where she was a producer of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. She was hired as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she relocated from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reports on her show covered immigration issues as well as drug trafficking and various other topics on the Texas and Mexico border. She was also a Spanish reporter on the newscast at 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter on the newscast of 9 p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. Anchor duties for weather or sports were often requested. She then anchored and reported for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She was a reporter for The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason as well as the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She was advertised as a sports anchor on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The anchor also worked in the same role as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. Her family relocated to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. Soon after the family split up, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. It was during a time of summer when she was with her sibling at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered the job. Antonietta was a senior high school student however, she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. The campus was stunning and provided the education she was looking for. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and began studying media at the university. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was student in the class, established an ongoing relationship with the student. He was the one who boosted her faith and confidence, as well as whose enthusiasm in Journalism touched her deeply. In turn, she strived to fulfill his expectations always delivering on time.
